Yolanda Natividad Ramon Tullos, age 68, of Brownsville, Texas was born on February 8, 1954 and passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was best known as "Yoli" by her friends and "Tita" by her family.
Yolanda was born in Mercedes, Texas. She was raised in Brownsville and graduated from Brownsville High School in 1972. She married Roland H. Tullos on January 31, 1975 and was blessed with a baby girl, Jennifer Lynn Tullos, on June 19, 1976.
Yolanda had a fulfilling career in banking for over 30 years. She started in Brownsville with Plaza National Bank (MBank) and moved to Harlingen, where she worked with Harlingen State Bank. Texas State Bank and Lonestar National Bank.
While in Harlingen, she was actively involved in her community and various charities, including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and her local Ronald McDonald House chapter. She also embraced the sisterhood of her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.
In recent years, Yolanda surrounded herself with family in Brownsville. She shared quality time with Jennifer, enjoying her favorite home cooked meals, tv/film and daily online jigsaw puzzles or solitaire. This Thanksgiving, she visited with her beloved sisters and nephew, where she was filled with love, joy and peace.
Yolanda is survived by her daughter Jennifer L. Tullos; her sister Rosie Duran (Oscar) and her sister Cynthia Gonzales; her nephew Arturo Ramon II, her nephew Joe De La Garza and her nephew Benjamin Ramon.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her father Modesto Ramon † and her mother Lupita Ramon †; her brother Arturo Ramon †.
A memorial service for Yolanda will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1914 Barnard Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
