He worked as a migrant worker for 12 years before he started working for the nature conservatory of Texas for 35 years, retiring at the age of 75. He loved nature and working outside. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather loved by all his family.
Salvador is survived by his son Ovidio Garza (Maria D.); daughter Graciela Garza (Lictor); daughter Deyanira Garza (Martin); and daughter Diana Maldonado (Cristobal).
Salvador was preceded in death by his wife Olga C. Garza†; son Homero Garza Chapa†; father Santiago Garza† and mother Maria Garza†; sister Maria Blanca C. Garza† and sister Catarina Aguirre†.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A visitation for Salvador will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A continued visitation will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A chapel service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 PM in Chapel of Peace, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 1:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Ezequiel Maldonado Jr., Martin S. Garza, Oziel Hinojosa, Uriel Garza, Leroy Maldonado and Jose Martinez.
