Rosalinda (Rosie) Maria Rinehart (76) went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2021 at Sunshine Haven. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Rosie never met a stranger; she was outgoing and was loved by all who knew her. Rosie had beautiful green eyes, a radiant smile and wonderful sense of humor. Rosie graduated from A&I University with her Bachelors and continued at Pan American University for her Masters. Rosie worked in the education field for almost 52 years, first as a teacher and then as a substitute teacher. She was loved and admired by her students and remained close to many of them. Rosie was an avid bowler and also loved spending time with friends and family playing lotteria, cards, scrabble or watching her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Rosie also loved to sing whenever there was an opportunity, especially karaoke. She was preceded in death by her father: Modesto Borrego Lerma, mother: Beatriz Garza Borrego, husband: Ted Rinehart, brothers: Juan Manuel Borrego, Modesto Borrego, Reynaldo Borrego, Adalberto Borrego, George Borrego, Arturo Borrego and two sisters: Maria del Carmen Borrego and Beatrice Gutierrez (Mario+).
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Lenore Ayala (James Gonzalez III), son Modesto (Tato) Ayala (Flor), grandchildren Chante Melendez, Jaime Melendez and Dante Ayala, great granddaughter, Vanya, sister, Maria R. Cavazos (Juan), sisters in law, Dora Borrego, Tila Borrego, Vicky Borrego, Corina Borrego, and Socorro Borrego, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Miguel del Bosque, Carlos Borrego, Rey Borrego, James Gonzalez III, Joseph Hernandez, and Juan Portales. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Modesto (Tato) Ayala, Mariano (Bean) Ayala, Rene Borrego, Juan Gabriel (Gaby) Hernandez, Greg Rinehart, and Marco Antonio Borrego.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Buena Vista Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sunshine Haven (956-350-8400).
