Rosalinda Ramirez Jimenez, age 71, died on December 10, 2011. She faced her battle with cancer with dignity and fought until she could no longer. She was born April 8, 1940 in Brownsville, Texas to Julio Casmiro Ramirez and Juanita Garcia Ramirez. She was employed at Valley Grande Manor for many years. She worked at the Porter High School cafeteria until she retired. Rosalinda was full of life. She enjoyed sewing and dancing and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julio Casmiro Ramirez and Juanita Garcia Ramirez and her sister, Maria Margarita Ramirez Neri.
She is survived by her daughter, Eulalia Fortiscue and her husband Autry. She is survived by her sons, Israel Garza and his wife, Mary; and Luis Garza and his wife, Myrta. She is survived by her grandchildren Jeremiah Ben Fortiscue, Cynthia Victoria Archundia , Rose Nicole Garza, Leslie Marie Garza, Albert Jacob Garza, Luis Carlos Garza II, Jillian Alexis Garza, Vanessa Alaniz, Maria Fernanda Alaniz, and Andrea Vega. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Albert and Priscilla Ann Orta. She is survived by her brothers Arnoldo Ramirez, Julio Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, Alejandro (Olga), and Rolando Ramirez (Carmen). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4pm to 9pm with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7pm on Monday, December 12, 2011at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A Chapel Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 14, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
