Raquel is preceded in death by father; Mariano Gonzalez, mother; Teresa Gonzalez and brother; Mariano Gonzalez Jr.. Raquel is survived by her loving husband; Robert T. Olvera, her children; Rachel (Bernard) Kamara, Robert (Tina) Olvera, Norma Ryan, Ruben (Elizabeth) Olvera and Roland Olvera, sister; Elvira (Felipe) Hernandez and 15 grandchildren.
Raquel served for 5 years as an RN for the State of Texas, 22 years at Clearwater Elementary School and 1 year at Salomon Ortiz Elementary School. Special thanks to those who cared for Raquel, Dr. Pelly, Lucy Reynaga CNA, Laura Garcia, Carlos Lopez, Miguel Ruiz, Rebecca Cortez, Martita Lopez and Rosie Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 12pm to 9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel Service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista followed by a committal service to Buena Vista Burial Park.
