Petra V Garza

Petra Garza Vasquez, 89, entered into eternal peace Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Brownsville, TX. She confronted her battle with dignity and admiration she fought until God decided. She was born February 26, 1922 in San Fernando, Tamps. to Guadalupe Vasquez and Cleofas Benavides.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe Vasquez and Cleofas Benavides; husband, Arturo Garza; brothers, Francisco, Guadalupe, Teofilo and Simon Vasquez and one great-grandson, David Alfonso Villarreal.

Petra is survived by her children, Ninfa Garza (Humberto), Juanita Alanis (Rodolfo(+)) Abelardo Garza (Mary), Francisco Garza (Alicia), Ciria Ramirez (Juan Manuel), Guadalupe Garza (Guadalupe), Hortensia Garza, Felicitas Garza and Marvelia Garza. She is also survived by three grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 4pm to 9pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 and will continue today Friday, December 23, 2011 from 12pm to 9pm with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista.

Chapel service will be held at 10 am Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial park.
