Oscar was a loving, caring, thoughtful, helpful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved all sports mainly Baseball Houston Astros, football Dallas Cowboys, soccer and his lucha libre. Most of all he enjoyed listening to music with his google. Pa was a collector of radios, cassettes and CD players. Recently he collected bluetooth speakers. Coca loved being outdoors with his wife Selia blasting music full blast and drinking his cold ones. Pa was a BISD retire. Coca loved tigers and loved joking around with everyone. He was the life of the party and loved to make everyone smile and laugh. From early morning coffee, cleaning his car and heading over to Whataburger to conversate with his friends. Above all, Coca would always put everyone else's needs before his. He passed peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Maria Seledonia Longoria; his son Oscar Longoria Jr.; his daughter Angie Villalpando (Salvador Villalpando); his son Jorge Longoria; his son Juan Carlos Longoria; his daughter Patricia Longoria; and his daughter Gabriela Longoria; his brother Arnoldo Longoria, his brother Melesio Longoria, his sister Idalia Garcia and his sister Rosario Castañeda; his grandson Oscar Longoria III, his granddaughter Cassandra Longoria, his grandson Bryan Longoria, his grandson Salvador Villalpando Jr., his grandson Abraham Villalpando, his granddaughter Anjelika Rose Villalpando, his grandson Jorge Longoria Jr., his granddaughter Viviana Longoria, his grandson Jacob Longoria, his granddaughter Daniela Longoria, his granddaughter Valeria Longoria, his granddaughter Alondra Ureña, his granddaughter Andrea Ureña, his grandson Juan Luis Elizardo and his grandson Sebastian Elizardo.
Oscar was preceded in death by his mother Maria Rebeca Rivera and his father Francisco Longoria; his brother Jose Luis Longoria; his brother Fernando Longoria; his brother Guadalupe Longoria and his brother Francisco Longoria.
Serving as pallbearers are Salvador Villalpando, Oscar Longoria Jr., Juan Carlos Longoria, Salvador Villalpando Jr., Abraham Villalpando, Oscar Longoria III, Juan Elizardo and Guadalupe Bernabe.
A visitation for Oscar will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526. A mass will occur Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St., Brownsville, TX 78521 followed at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
