To my Aunt Susie, Uncle Lupito, Sergio, Orlando, Veronica & Mia, I am so very sorry for your loss. I will keep you all in my prayers. Even though this picture was taken several years ago, everytime I saw Omar he had this same great smile. This is how I remember him now, and this is how I will always remember him. Omar, may God have you in his glory with both of my wonderful Grandfathers until we meet again.

To the Ruiz Family...Omar was such a great and loyal friend to my family...He was full of love and laughter..He would spray our homes and was always be a happy camper. He will be greatly missed and we will never forget him. My husband, Abel was his boss @ McAllen I.S.D. for the last few years and he always mentioned that Omar was a   generous and fun person..  God Bless You and your Family.

I would like to say I'm so sorry to my Tio and Tia as well as to the rest of Omar's familia. We won't say goodbye primo, because we will see each other again, but for now we will keep you in memory and in our hearts. PS let grandpa RUIZ know them Cowboys still ain't won a Super Bowl since he left us...

I was fortunate enough to have known Omar since Elementary and still recall our last encounter at Christ the King church about a year ago, where I was able to meet his wife and beautiful daughter. We were sad to hear the loss of a great person,he worked with my husband for a different department and soon became a friend.  He came a few times to our house to fumigate and was skeptical about my pitbull but soon fell in love with my sweet dog. He would always talk about his daughter since I have one about the same age. He answered all her little kid question she asked him. We recently had seen him because he had come by our home and never thought that would be the last time he was at our home. My deepest condolences go to his whole entire family and friends but especially his wife and his sweet & innocent daughter. She maybe too young to comprehend exactly what happened recently but one day she will understand how GOD needed another angel and unfortunately he was next to be with GOD.  You will be missed OMAR RUIZ!

They were so sute together. I still have those pictures.I find it so hard to believe that he is gone and at such a very young age. I was deeply saddened to hear about my friend, Omar. He would make a point to stop by and chat with me at Rowe High School before he went on his job. My deep condolences to his wife the Ruiz family.  While I am mourning the loss of Omar, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil, R.I.P, OMAR!

My deepest sympathy to Omar's family and friends. Omar touched many lives and passed on his love for the Brownsville Zoo and his love for fish. He was my college age son's mentor as he set up his aquarium. He had even made plans to take my son to the zoo this summer. He always mentioned his daughter in all the conversations he had. He loved his family. He is now God's Angel. May he rest in peace.

Life has given me wonderful gifts.  You, my friend, were one of those rare gifts.  Your smiles and hugs warmed the hearts and souls of many.  All those years in band, we protected each other, loved each other, and created a bond that has been truly unbreakable.  You were a brother to a lot of people, and I will never forget you.  I am sorry that I am not there to say, “See you later, my friend.”  I know that you will be okay in Heaven with my dad.  I will continue to pray for your family.
