Maria Sanchez-Torres was born on July 02, 1942 in Brownsville, Texas to Tomasa and Ambrosio Sanchez. She departed this life on Sunday May 15, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center of natural causes in the hands of her husband Lorenzo B. Torres and loving family.
Maria Sanchez-Torres married Lorenzo B. Torres on July 07, 1963 and had four children. She dedicated her life to God, our Lord Jesus and her family.
She is survived by her husband Lorenzo B. Torres, her son Lorenzo Torres Jr., her daughters Maryselda Torres-Medina, Diana Torres and Esmeralda Torres. Brother Jorge Sanchez (Edna Sanchez), sister Raquel Trinidad Sanchez. Grandchildren, Alejandrina Torres, Ambrosio Torres, Keila Natalie Torres-Flores (Elvin Flores), Griselda Renteria, John Andrew Torres-Perales, Jaime Alekssa Medina, Gabriela Faith Torres, Josiah Alexander Medina, Jayden Austin Medina.
She is preceded in death by her parents Tomasa and Ambrosio Sanchez, her brother Wenceslao A. Sanchez and her grandson Gilberto Renteria Jr.
Special words of appreciation go to her medical team who went above and beyond the line of duty: Sundeep Reddy MD, Jaime Silva MD, the faculty at South Texas Rehab and Valley Baptist Medical Center.
