Maria Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a loyal and faithful member of Iglesia Camino Del Rey for over 40 years. She had great faith in the Lord and never wavered from there. Her family came first and was always there for them. Her morals and values stood out as the Christian person she was. Her spiritual presence will always be present among those that knew her. The Lord has chosen you to be our Guardian Angel.
Maria Teresa is survived by her husband Carlos Luis Garcia, son Carlos Luis Garcia Jr., daughter Vanessa L. Garcia, son Emmanuel R. Garcia, daughter in law Marissa Garcia, sister Angela Salinas, sister Juanita Bernal, brother Jose Nieto, brother Martin Nieto and brother Armando Nieto, grandson Alex Luis Garcia and granddaughter Marcela Luisa Garcia.
Maria Teresa was preceded in death by her father Jose Nieto Ugalde and mother Ciria Ochoa Vela.
A visitation for Maria Teresa will be held Monday, September 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Iglesia Camino Del Rey, 960 W. Ruben M. Torres Sr. Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78520. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 9:30 AM, 960 W. Ruben M. Torres Sr. Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78520. A burial will occur Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, TX 78526.
Serving as pallbearers are Carlos Luis Garcia Jr., Alex Luis Garcia, Emmanuel R. Garcia, Jose Nieto, Martin Nieto and Luis Ponce.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Vanessa L. Garcia, Marissa Garcia, Marcela Luisa Garcia and Carlos Luis Garcia.
