Margarita Cazares, daughter of the late, Andres Cazares and Simona Barajas, was born on February 22, 1942. She peacefully resigned her soul into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Margarita was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She immigrated to the United States in 1988 and since then, resided in the City of Brownsville, Texas.
Margarita was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered by her amazing cooking skills, resilience and perseverance. She was dearly loved by her family and will forever be missed.
Margarita is survived by her daughter, Alicia Salinas; grandchildren, Cynthia Matus, Miguel Angel Matus (Karina Matus), Daniel Matus and Diego Matus; great-grandchildren, Aileen Matus and Iker Matus. Son, Israel Salinas, Jr. (Yuridia Salinas); grandchildren, Gloria Estefhany Salinas, Alexa Salinas (Gaspar Jimenez), Israel Salinas, III, Steve Salinas, and Ricardo Salinas; great-grandchildren, Mayte Geraldine Cortez, Iker Gerardo Cortez, Natalia Inez Jimenez, Gaspar Jimenez, Jr. Son, Juan Jose Salinas (Mary Salinas); grandchildren, Juan Jose Salinas, Jr., Stephanie Ozua (Daniel Ozua), Juan Andres Salinas, Lizeth Salinas, and Sebastian Salinas; great-grandchildren, Daphne Ozua, Sophia Salinas, Nathaniel Ozua, and Tristan Andres Salinas. Son, Alfonso Salinas (Nena Salinas); grandchildren, Ivy Salinas, Nicole Salinas, Alfonso Salinas, Jr., Emily Salinas, Alexander Salinas, Diane Salinas. Daughter, Laura Salinas; and grandpuppy, Oliver Salinas Garcia.
A visitation will be on Tuesday October 27, 2020 from10 am- 9 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm. A Chapel Service will be Wednesday October 28, 2020 at 11 am followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park, located at 125 McDavitt Boulevard, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
