Our father, Manuel Luis Torres or Meme, as he was well known, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, the 28th of January 2024 at his home in Brownsville surrounded by his greatest masterpiece on earth, his 5 children. He worked at Eagle Coach for many years until he decided to retire and join his wife in taking care of their grandchildren which he did with great joy. Our dad was a simple, hardworking, baseball fanatic, fun loving family man. All who had the pleasure of meeting him, walked away with a smile and a story to tell. His neighbors became his life-long friends.
Our dad's greatest love and accomplishment was the family he had built with his wife of 56 years. During his retirement years, he found joy eating at different establishments around town and eating his D'Ayala's biscuits with a cup of coffee. He was a member f Holy Family Catholic Church for many years.
Manuel is survived by his son Luis Manuel Torres (Adriana); his daughter Ana P. Gonzalez (Jesus); his daughter Cristina Torres-Alvarez (Victor); his daughter Adriana Torres; and his daughter Laura Torres; his sister Ana Graciela Torres; his grandson Luis M.
