Luis Medina

He was preceded in death by his mother: Guadalupe Garcia, father: Pioquinto Medina, daughter: Christina Lee Medina and a sister: Enriqueta Amador.

Luis is survived by his loving wife: Zoila R. Medina, daughter: Patricia Medina (Clark) and son-in-law Patrick Martinez, brother: Joe Medina and numerous nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Chuckie, all whom he loved very much.

Mr. Medina also served his country and was in the United States Army.

Luis worked for the Catholic Diocese of Brownsville as maintenance for the Bishops House, during Bishop Meideros and Bishop Fitzpatrick’s tenor in the 70’s. He worked at Marathon LeTourneou as lead carpenter for many years. He worked at Union Carbide and back at the Diocese, at St. Joseph Church as lead maintenance man for many years. He was a member of the St. Joseph Men’s Club, and was the Bingo coordinator until his retirement. Dad loved to BBQ and watch his Cowboys and enjoy family time at the beach.

He will be dearly missed by all his family, friends, and neighbors. Special thanks to the Genteiva Hospice nurses and staff.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Chapel service will be on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 12pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by cremation.
