In May 1948 he married Bertha Ortiz, and together raised 4 children, Mary Ann, Rodolfo, Jose and Luciano Jr.
Luciano was a self-made man who always overcame obstacles and put others first. At a young age, he found odd jobs here and there, like collecting shopping carts to help his family bring income to the household. Fast forward a couple of years, he became a prominent business man in the community. His hard work and strong work ethic was second to none.
When he wasn’t managing the family business, Luciano stayed busy attending family gatherings and making his mark as the “Godfather”. Luciano’s family enjoyed his history lessons, sense of humor, stories about grandma Bertha, and his common sense knowledge. He showed his love in his own way by his unique acts of service and kindness.
Luciano is preceded in death by his father, Isaac Saldaña, his mother, Maria Saldaña, his sisters Maria Elena Vera, Frances S. Gonzalez, his brothers Osvaldo Lerma, Jose H. Saldaña, Roberto Saldaña, Isauro Saldaña, and his son Rodolfo Saldaña (Rosalinda). He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann S. Lozano, his sons Jose O. Saldaña (Norma Sanchez), Luciano O. Saldaña Jr. (Dora), his 22 grandkids, 35 great grandkids, 5 great great grandkids, and daughter-in-law Maria Elena C. Saldaña.
