Juan L. Ramirez was caring, humble, admirable, fun, loving and hardworking. He had been married to his highschool sweetheart for 55 years. At the age of twenty, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and took much pride in being a Vietnam Veteran. Juan then became a skilled structural welder and worked as a supervisor at Marathon Le Tourneau for 15 years. Then worked at various overseas jobs for 26 years. His passions were his family, work and Harley Davidson. Juan was a born again Christian and is now reunited with his departed loved ones. He will be missed and never forgotten.
Juan is survived by his wife, Esperanza M. Ramirez, his daughters: Dilana Ramirez, Lianda R. Garcia and Adriana Ramirez-Lanctot, his brothers Jose Ramirez and Fernando Ramirez, his grandchildren: Tristan Caleb Gomez, Jesse Garcia Jr., Caden John Lanctot, Vera Hope Marie Lanctot, Royce Michael Lanctot and Weston Israel Lanctot.
Juan was preceded in death by his father, Daniel G. Ramirez Sr., his mother, Adela L. Ramirez, his brother Daniel Ramirez Jr., his niece, Alizzi Ramirez and his nephew, Aldo Ramirez.
A visitation for Juan will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Rose Lawn, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526. Visitation will continue on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM with a chapel service at 9:00 AM followed by a burial will occur at 10:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX 78526.
Serving as pallbearers are Nathan Lanctot, Adriana Lanctot, Tristan Gomez, Jesse A. Garcia, Ismael Najera Jr. and Ramiro Ramos Jr.
