Jose is survived by his father Jose Francisco Garza Sr.; his brother Norberto Javier Garza, his sister Laurie Ann Ayala, his brother-in-law Juan Carlos Ayala and his sister-in-law Brenda San Miguel Garza; his niece Evelyn Grace Ayala, his niece Ashley Elizabeth Ayala, his niece Dannika Aleksa Garza, his nephew Alek Javier Garza and his nephew Aksel Dhai San Miguel.

Jose was preceded in death by his son Jose Francisco Garza III †; his mother Idolina E. Garza †.

A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in chapel of peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
