Mr. Champion was preceded in death by his parents, John C. Champion and Elvira Guerra Champion.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Perez Champion; daughter, Brenda Lynn Petty; sons, John Russell Champion Jr., Robert (Andy) Champion, Joseph Earl Champion; daughter, Nancy Ann Benitez; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Former wife, Earlene Jones Champion & sister, Maria Wallace and many nieces & nephews.
Memorial service will be held from 2pm – 6pm with a Chapel service at 4pm on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
