Javier Hector Nuñez

A husband, father, teacher, coach and fighter were only some of the attributes Javier Hector Nuñez Sr. had. Having survived and battled cancer for 15 years, God finally took him home. Hector influenced many lives throughout his career as a teacher and coach at Hanna High School, Vela Middle School and Boys and Girls Club. His passion for sports, especially basketball, helped him cope with his disease. Many believed he helped them as a coach but they helped him. Never gone or forgotten, his spirit will continue to shine though in the lives he touched.

He is preceded in death his father, Julio N. Nuñez, Sr.

Javier is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Nuñez; daughter, Estefany Nuñez; son, Javier H. Nuñez Jr.; mother, Gloria V. Nuñez; brothers, Jose A. Nuñez and Julio Nuñez, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 12:00p.m. to 10:00p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Chapel Service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
