Javier Eleazar Garcia

Javier Eleazar Garcia, 65, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Brownsville, Texas. He leaves many family members and friends behind that he loved dearly. Many knew him as "Chief" and "Uncle Chubby", but he was best known as Dad. He was an avid bowler and fisherman; loved his Texas Rangers and soccer. Javier retired after working for BISD for 10 years. He will miss his Veteran Memorial Chargers.

Javier is preceded in death by his mother; Maria Columba Garcia, father-in-law; Atenogenes "Tito" Garza, mother-in-law; Paula P. Garza. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years Olivia Garza Garcia his first born Olivia Garcia Castillo, son-in-law; Luis A. Castillo, his favorite daughter Noemi Garcia Martinez, son-in-law; Michael "Mikie" Martinez his only son Javier E. Garcia, fiancé; Robin Zayas, his Baby girl Michelle Alaniz, son-in-law; Rick Alaniz. The loves of his life, his grandchildren, his Super Man Ryan Elijah Garcia, his princess Avy Lynn Alaniz, his cheerleader Sofia Elena Martinez, and his dancing partnerMichael Urijah Martinez. His only sister Elizabeth Maldonado and brother-in-law; Leo Maldonado.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 24, 2017 from 12pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Church Service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10am at First Baptist Church in Brownsville, Texas followed by a committal service to Buena Vista Burial Park.
