Jane R Garza

Jane Garza, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 3, 2017 in Harlingen, TX. Jane worked as a bookkeeper for the Brownsville Independent School District, most recently at Hanna High School. Before that she had a career in banking, from which she maintained many friendships. Jane's son, Jeremiah, was her pride and joy and she celebrated each of his accomplishments. She was perhaps most proud of becoming a grandmother to Mikayla Jane 4 years ago and loved spending time with her here and in Los Angeles. Jane was a proud daughter, sister, friend, wife, aunt, mother, godmother, and teacher and will be missed by many. Mrs. Garza is preceded in death by her father, Roberto F. Rodriguez; mother, Rosa Mendez Rodriguez; and brother, Robert M. Rodriguez. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cris Garza; son, Jeremiah (Ivy) R. Garza; granddaughter, Mikayla Jane (MJ) Garza; brother, Jesus (Adela) Rodriguez; nieces, Eileen Rodriguez and Cindy (William) Wassen; nephew, Robert (Bobby) Rodriguez; aunt, Ernestina Carasco and uncle, Jesus Mendez. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. Mass will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10am at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by an interment at Buena Vista Burial Park.
