Hector "Ritchie" Garcia (69), finally got his call to hunt on the greatest ranch there is. While he will be missed, he's surely enjoying the perfect hunting weather and lack of any tag limits.
Ritchie was born in Brownsville, Texas on June 23, 1953 and taken from us all too soon.
Ritchie graduated from St Joseph Academy with the class of 1971 and went on to Texas Southmost College as well as University of Texas @ Brownsville. Post-college he joined Southwestern Bell Telephone Company (later AT&T) where he remained until celebrating his retirement after faithfully completing 43 years. During retirement he spent his time caring for his two grandsons, who he loved more than anything, except his wife(maybe). In addition to caring for his grandsons, he enjoyed spending the summer months at South Padre Island and winter hunting at the ranch in Zapata, Texas.
He was preceded in death by parents Hector G. Garcia and Virginia Bryan Garcia, grandparents: Meliton & Benita Garcia and Nem Jennings & Nicolasa Bryan.
Hector "Ritchie" Garcia is survived by: his wife Sylvia Cantu Garcia, his children: Michael Richard Garcia and Cassandra Lynn Garcia-Lozano(Omar), his grandchildren: Oliver & River, his siblings Virginia "Tata" Garcia-Cano and Omar R.
