Guadalupe Rivas

A devoted mother who inspired a strong work ethic and sense of pride to her children and grandchildren. She was a women of extreme strength, courage and love. Although she lived a life filled with hardship, she held herself with dignity and pride until her last days never complaining and always with a desire to bring peace and a sense of humor to those around her. She had true unconditional love for all her 12 children, 28 grand-children and 54 great-grandchildren. Her family is grateful for the lessons in life she taught them and will always carry her legacy of family love with in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her father;Julian (Beatice) De Los Santos,Husband;Celso Rivas,Children;Lauro Rivas,Frankie Rivas,Sisters; Leandra Gutierrez, Basilia Silva, Modesta Salazar, Costancia Reyna

Guadalupe is survived by her children; Ramon Alvarez (Diane) ,Faustino Rivas (Dora),Delia Rivas Decker, Roy Rivas, Jesus Rivas, Maria Alma Rivas,Oralia Rivas Landry, Ramiro Rivas, Gloria Quillio (Walt),Carlos Rivas (Patty) and 32 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held on Thursday December 15, 2016 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church at 10:00 am followed by burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
