During Gregoria's early life, she learned a lot from her dad like butchering because he was a hunter and cooking from her mother. She loved to sew, cook, care for animals and plants. Family and friends loved to come to visit her house because she would love to cook for them. She helped start the breakfast at San Patricio/San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church. She also made the first altar garments for the church. She enjoyed helping her fellow neighbors and friends. Gregoria was very devoted to the church and instilled it to her daughters. She was loved by her family and friends. She will be in their hearts and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her father Eladio Garcia and mother Francisca Solis, siblings; Viviano Garcia, Luis Garcia and Saturnina De los Reyes Garcia.
Gregoria is survived by her husband Faustino Amaro, daughters Silvia Beatriz Amaro and Bertha Alicia Amaro, sister Francisca Garcia Solis, grandchildren; Jorge Alberto Troncoso Jr., Leonardo Uriel Troncoso, Priscilla Marie Troncoso Tovar and Sophia Rosalee Amaro, great grandchildren; Camila Soto Troncoso, Julian Tovar and John Mateo Troncoso.
She is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Jorge Alberto Troncoso Jr., Leonardo Troncoso, Carlos Monsivais, Diego Llanas, Carlos Garcia and Raul Garcia.
A visitation for Gregoria will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Dr, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
