Gloria lived her life in service to her family and friends. Raising three children as a single parent might have been a daunting task for others, but Gloria took the challenge without complaint ensuring her children succeeded in life. She worked as a sales lady most of her life. Her places of employment included Mac’s Hobby Shop, Walgreens and Boot Jack. Gloria was a jovial spirit who made friends wherever she went for she shared a smile with those she met. To those who were fortunate to have known Gloria, she will be fondly remembered as “Chula”, “Mimi”, and “The Yellow Rose of Texas”.
Mrs. Noriega is preceded in death by her parents, Ricarda and Francisco Fernandez; and her sisters, Estefana Castro and Faustina Tapia.
Gloria is survived by her children, Hilda N. Gonzales (Oscar), Eduardo Noriega, and Javier Noriega (Paula); grandchildren, Gerardo (Irene), Ismael, Yvette, and Miguel; great-grandchild, Ronaldo; brother, Frank M. Fernandez (Blanca); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Chapel Service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.
