Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville surrounded by her children, grandchildren and friends.
She is preceded in death by her late husband of 40 years, Noe Domingo Garza, Sr., a native of
Brownsville, who died November 8, 1992.

Izaguirre (deceased).
Mrs. Garza was employed by BISD for 21 years. After her retirement, she devoted herself to
caring for her grandchildren who called her “Mamita” as a term of endearment.
Mrs. Garza was a great woman. Her work ethic was impeccable and her strength was
unbelievable. She is the unsung hero of her community and family, one that sacrificed her life for
those she loved. St. Basil said that “A tree is known by its fruits; a man by his deeds”. In the
case of “Mamita” her fruits and her deeds are a testament of her great character and values.
