Emilia Rivas, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Brownsville, Tx.
She was born October 21, 1929 to the late Sabino and Evangelina Garcia. Emilia worked for the Brownsville Independent School District in the food service department for more than 10 years. Thank you to staff; Ebony Lake, Greater Valley Hospice, and Solara Hospital.
Emilia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Miguel Rivas; her children, Yolanda (Blas) Carrisalez, Miguel Jr. (Noemi) Rivas, Maria P. (Roman) Garcia, Sylvia Flores, Juan Manuel (Ana) Rivas, Lucy (Butch) Weber, Ricardo (Josie) Rivas, and Roland Rivas; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mary and Adela.
