Elvia was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend who touched many lives. She was a beautiful person who gave her heart to everyone and a mother figure to all. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Domingo Sosa Ramirez; mother, Oralia Ramirez Gomez; brother, Jose Humberto Ramirez and sister, Sylvia Ramirez.

She is survived by her sisters, Oralia Gonzales, Yolanda Nieto (Seferino), Blanca Estela Barron (Javier Sr.), Rosalinda Sanchez (Jaime), and Olga Escobedo (Victor M.); brothers, Richard “Ricardo” Ramirez, Rolando Ramirez (Oralia) and Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramirez and sister-in-law, Laura Ramirez; 11 nephews, 3 nieces, 4 brothers-in-law, and 2 sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held from 12pm to 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm on Friday, August 05, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, August 06, 2011 at Valley Worship Center, 85 Alton Gloor, Brownsville,Texas with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jose “Joey” Ramirez Jr., Javier “JR” Barron, Victor Ulysses Escobedo, Steve Barron, Julio Cesar Escobedo, Marco Antonio Escobedo, Jason Barron and Aaron Issac Escobedo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard “Ricardo” Ramirez, Rolando Ramirez, Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramirez, Michael Nieto, Steve Nieto, Victor M. Escobedo, Javier Barron Sr., Seferino Nieto, and Jaime Sanchez.
