Elvia M Gonzalez

In loving memory of a devoted mother with a heart full of love & compassion. A dedicated grandmother who showered her grandchildren with immense love and care. She found joy in attending their activities (baseball, softball, dance), achievements, and award ceremonies. Her unwavering Catholic faith guided her every step, and her nurturing spirit touched everyone around her. In her free time, she enjoyed doing word search puzzles. Her life was a blessing; her memory will always be a treasure in our hearts.

Elvia is survived by her sons Reynaldo Gonzalez (Josie) and Bernardino Gonzalez Jr. (Lillian); her daughters Elvia Rodriguez (Steve) and Gloria Gonzalez; her grandchildren Rey Jr., Rebecca, Roel, Amanda, Betty, Stephanie, Joaquin, Valeria, Matteo and her great grandson Rey III.

Elvia was preceded in death by her husband Bernardino Gonzalez †; her mother Maria Zenaida Mendez †; her siblings Carlos Martinez †, Enrique Marinez †, and Benita Martinez †.

A visitation for Elvia will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM with a rosary at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A continued visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will be held after the continued visitation at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1218 E Jefferson, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.

Serving as pallbearers are Reynaldo Gonzalez, Reynaldo Gonzalez Jr., Roel Gonzalez, Bernardino Gonzalez Jr., Steve Rodriguez, Joaquin Rodriguez and Matteo Rodriguez.
