Eloisa (Locha) Rivera Juarez went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Eloisa was born on March 15, 1939, to Jose Angel Rivera and Maria Saldivar Rivera. She is preceded by her beloved husband Benito Juarez, father, mother, sister Gracie Rivera Pena, two brothers Jose Angel Rivera and Salvador Rivera, and great granddaughter Madison Nicole Petrarca.
Eloisa lived a fulfilling life of unselfish kindness, love and care for her family, friends, and anyone God would place in her path. She was a pillar to her family and the glue that kept everyone together.
Eloisa's greatest love was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, singing (praises to God as well as singing Mariachi songs—beautiful voice), dancing (had the best dance partner for over 60 years), cooking (delicious meals for anybody who came over to her house), playing bingo and chalupa (El Soldado was her favorite), watching her favorite teams play (the Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys), but what topped everything was loving her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, gather together with or without her present.
She is survived by two siblings, Roberto Rivera and Norma Rivera. Her legacy will live on in her children---Alejandro (Amelia) Juarez, Maggie (Eddie) Petrarca, Benny Juarez Jr, Maricela (Hector) Pena, Delia Juarez, and Cindy (Ernie) Shears. Grandchildren---, Alejandro (Cassandra) Juarez Jr, Nicholas Enrique Juarez, Jessica Juarez, David (Jacqueline) Juarez, Kathy (Jeremy) Harris, Ezekiel (Nicole) Petrarca, Samuel (Cristina) Petrarca, Sabrina (Sonya) Like, Eloisa Juarez, Crystal (Justin) Lane, Kathlyn (Brandon) Flores, Timothy (Kassandra) Shears, Kimberly (Jorge) Mata, and 23 Great Grandchildren.
We will forever be thankful to God for blessing our family with the best mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. All her sacrifices made, all the memories we have, will forever be held deeply in our hearts like golden treasures, until we are reunited in heaven.
The Juarez, Petrarca, Pena, and Shears families would like to thank Mount Sinai Hospice (Evelin Garcia, Nurse Aida, Nurse Diana), Sunshine Haven and all their staff, Livingway Family Church (Pastors Bill and Anne Moore) and Del Angel Funeral Home (Norma Rivera and Delia Rivera) for helping in this difficult journey.
