Elizabeth Benavides

entered into eternal rest Tuesday January 05, 2021. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. She devoted many years of her life as a caring loving nurse in Matamoros IMSS and in Valley Regional Medical Center. If you knew her she was a shinning star. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter Day Saints. Her interests included laughing, shopping, gardening and helping others. She will be dearly missed by everyone. She was compassionate, brave, outspoken, strong, beautiful but most importantly a woman who never gave up and gave life a good fight. Till we meet again.

She is preceded in death by her father Edilberto Lopez Garcia, and husband Romeo Benavides.

She is survived by her mother Maria Rosaura Lopez, daughter; Gabriela E. Benavides, sons; Roel Benavides, and Gerardo Benavides, Grandchildren; Valentin, Jaylah, Romeo, Roel, Lola, Paulino, Alessandra Ximena. Siblings; Beto, Jesus and Teresa Lopez. Son in law; Alexander Nieto, Daughter in laws; Betty and Lanie Benavides.

A visitation will be Sunday January 10, 2021 at 1 pm- 9 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A Chapel Service will be Monday January 11, 2021 at 11 am in Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park.
