Eduardo S. Lozano

Eduardo S. 'Eddie' Lozano, aged 50, passed away on January 3, 2024, in his hometown of Brownsville, Texas. Born on November 2, 1973, Eddie is survived by his mother Mary Ann Lozano, his brother Luciano Lozano, and his daughter, Zoe Christine Lozano.

Eddie truly loved his daughter Zoe, treasuring every moment spent with her, guiding and supporting her from her early years as his little baby girl to the remarkable new mother she became. Recently, Eddie took immense pride in becoming a grandfather. His eyes filled with tears of joy upon first sight of his granddaughter, Isabella Rose Hernandez, evoking fond memories of Zoe. Together, Isabella and Zoe both brought immense happiness to Eddie and served as a source of inspiration for him, every day.

Apart from his family, Eddie had a deep love for music, particularly his drums. An accomplished drummer, he left his mark on numerous bands from South Padre Island to Austin, TX. His musical passion extended beyond stages to church groups, where he generously shared his love of playing, celebrating God and life, while also serving as an instructor, tutor and mentor to future drummers.

As a devoted son, Eddie cherished his mother, Mary Ann Lozano, spending quality time together, bonding over their shared love of sweets. Eddie's life was a testament to resilience, as he faced and conquered numerous challenges, always prioritizing others before himself.

In eternal peace, Eddie reunites with his brother Alex Lozano III, his father Alejandro Lozano Jr., his grandfather Luciano Saldana Sr., grandmother Bertha Ortiz Saldana, uncles Rodolfo Saldana and Mario Ortiz, and many other loving members of the Lozano and Saldana families. Eddie’s memory, and the memories of these loved ones will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved them.

A celebration of Eddie's life will take place at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX, at 2:00 pm, followed by interment at 3:00 pm. A second celebration honoring Eddie’s memory will be shared at a later date.

Pallbearers honoring Eddie's memory are Eddie Flores, Alex Flores, Brad Elder, Rudy Saldana Jr., Sean Saldana, and Luciano Lozano.
