Mrs. Delia Ramirez, daughter of the late Roberto Olvera and Trinidad Olvera was born on November 8, 1957, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico. She attended public schools in Brownsville, TX and was a graduate of Gladys Porter High School. She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Luis Ramirez in April of 1984. Her life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well. As a result of her generous spirit and warm personality, she was loved by many. Her spirit and love for life will continue to live on thru her family and friends. She quietly and peacefully departed this life on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Delia is survived by her husband of 39 years, Luis Martin Ramirez; her son William Michael Torres (Audrey Torres); her son Christopher Luis Ramirez (Paula Cabello); and her son Jorge Torres Jr (Leslee Hernandez); her mother Trinidad Olvera; her sister Julia Olvera, her sister Ofelia Garcia and her sister Juanita Hardcastle; her grandchild Adrian Torres, her grandchild Jaxson Torres, her grandchild Chloe Ramirez, her grandchild Mason Ramirez, her grandchild Avery Torres, her grandchild Lillee Hernandez, her grandchild Abby, her grandchild Bella, her grandchild Sam and her grandchild Alana.
Delia was preceded in death by her father Roberto Olvera † and her mother in law Eva Ramirez †.
A visitation for Delia will be held Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2PM to 9PM with a Rosary at 7PM in chapel of peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1218 E Jefferson, Brownsville, Texas 78520. Followed by a burial at 11AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Valentin Ramirez, Andrew Chavez, Carlos Camarillo, Jorge Torres Jr, William Michael Torres, Christopher Luis Ramirez, Adrian Torres, Jaxson Torres and Davey Ramirez.
