As I remenber ....like if it was yesterday ...a hello from Mr. Ayala as he would walk into my office along with his wife.  Both sat down and it was never a boring moment with them becaus Mr. Ayala would speak highly of his childfren especially when he supported his son in his election a few years ago.  He sat in front of a school with his sign and he looked so proud.  I often would bump into them at the Hospital when my father was there ill and there he was walking through the corridors to pick up his wife from work.  I had the pleasure of knowing him and how humble he was along with his wife they both were so generous.   Four years ago they sat with me at the hospital when my father was having open heart surgery.  I will never forget those hours and how both of them were so concerned for my father and for me.  I was there at the hospital by myself sitting with folks that I felt adopted me for that moment and cared for me.  I hold that memory deep into my heart....I lost my father two years ago.   I feel the same saddness knowing that Mr. Daniel Ayala passed away .....My thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs Ayala and to your children my deepest condolences

Mr. Ayala knew me as teen back in 1971-72 and I use to visit him at the corner of 12th and Elizabeth and often drove me home safely after a hard night in Matamoros and would pull my ears for drinking as a minor, he was a good friend that I respected very much and cared for.My deepest condolences tocayo Alex,Bean and Danny.
