Cristina Gracia Sotelo, 35 of Brownsville Texas was born in Valle Hermoso Tamaulipas Mexico. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister in law, aunt, godmother, cousin, coworker and friend.
Cristina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, surrounded by her loving family.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Jesus Sotelo, mother Alicia Gracia Sustaita, father Javier Gracia Corpus, children Jesus Sotelo Jr., Valentina Sotelo, sister Erika Gracia, sister in law Celina Sotelo, nephew Marco A. Moreno, niece Maeleah Moreno and 5 godchildren.
She was a great loving woman strong dedicated with a beautiful smile. She loved to spend quality time with her loved family and friends. One of her passions was to plan her children's birthday parties as well to celebrate each member of her family. Another passion was her job, she was dedicated and hard working. She was very proud to be part of the Brownsville Police Department.
A visitation for Cristina will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM to Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 12:30 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A rosary will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at 8:00 PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2405 E. Tyler St., Brownsville, Texas 78520. A burial will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Rolando Vasquez, Fernando Flores, Mario Alvarado, Adolfo Guerra, Mario Fuentes and Eric Garza.
