Mrs. Hinojosa is preceded in death by husband, Juan Jose Hinojosa; daughter, Lucinda H. Maganda; granddaughter, Sheila Maganda.
Mrs. Hinojosa was born on February 17, 1920 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and has been a resident of Brownsville for 47 years and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Yolanda (Juan Alberto) Nava from Arlington, Sergio E. (María) Hinojosa, Juan Carlos (Flor Estela) Hinojosa, Ana Leticia (Raul) Echiveste of Brownsville, TX, Sylvia Adela (Lazaro) Castro Jr., of San Benito, TX, Juan Jose (Tina) Hinojosa of Brownsville, TX and her son-in-law Alberto Maganda from Mission, TX. Mrs. Hinojosa is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Reyes A. Treviño, Sara A. Sosa of Brownsville and Raquel A. Lopez of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 1pm to 9pm with a holy rosary at 7pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1pm at Saint Luke Catholic Church with committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Daniel Hinojosa, Juan Carlos Hinojosa Jr., Juan Alberto Nava, Carlos Alberto Maganda, Saul Echiveste, Lazaro Castro III, Trinidad Pérez and Thomas Gilbert Monclova.
