Mr. Garcia is survived by his loving wife, Maria Dolores Garcia and his children, Guadalupe and wife Encarnacion Garcia, Concepcion and husband Jesus Martinez, Evangelina and husband Miguel Castillo, Amparo and husband Juan Francisco Casanova, Mary and husband Cecil Reed, Armando and wife Angelica Garcia, Cesar and wife Belinda Garcia; 22 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 9pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 2645 Tulipan, Brownsville, Texas with a committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
