Carmen A. Longoria, 71 went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 1, 2023 at home surrounded by her mother, husband, children and grandchildren. Carmen was a faithful, loving wife to her husband of 46 years Juan Longoria, and gave her entire life to her three children, Juan Longoria Jr., Leticia Longoria and Federico Longoria. Mrs. Longoria was a Brownsville H.S. Graduate of 1970, and retired from BISD after 26 years of service.
Carmen is survived by her husband Juan Longoria, son Juan Longoria Jr. (Erica), daughter Leticia Longoria, son Federico Longoria (Eva), mother Matilde Soto, brother Sergio Soto and brother Jesus Arratia, grandchildren Juan Longoria III, Iliana Luna, Isabella D. Longoria, Federico Longoria Jr., Gabriela Salinas and Josephine Longoria.
Carmen was preceded in death by her father Ramon Arratia, brother Juventino Arratia, brother Ramiro Arratia, brother Ramon Arratia Jr. and sister Leticia Soto.
A visitation for Carmen will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023 in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A rosary will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at 7:00 PM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A continued visitation will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM in Chapel of Angels at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista. A mass will occur Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1218 E. Jefferson St., Brownsville, Texas followed by a burial at 11:00 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Juan Longoria Jr., Federico Longoria, Juan Longoria III, Mauricio Longoria, Sergio Soto and Jesus Arratia.
