If you were to ask anyone that knew Blanca what was her most memorable characteristic, the response would be unanimous, her smile.
Following her famous smile, but not trailing too far behind, was her compassion for helping everyone around her. She would always try her best to help people in need, even if all she could offer was a story and that smile. Blanca was the type of person who some people might have called stubborn, but those of us who knew her, saw her as having strong conviction.
Accompanying her views was a strong will that would get her through any obstacle encountered in her path, whether it be a sickness, bad situations, or even providing proof on how she really did win that game and you were just a sore loser. Fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, and a strong love for nature were amongst her many talents and passions. Included in these passions were writing and singing hymns to the Lord whom she carried in her heart and celebrated with her amazing voice.
Blanca’s presence was enough to light up the room and create everlasting memories amongst all her friends and family. Always keeping family first in her heart she did not let time, distance, miscommunication or any other circumstances get in the way of her love and hope that one day we would all be together. Having her unique ways of expression, she always knew what to say (and when to say it) to provide comfort and reassurance that made huge impacts in people’s lives. Small acts of kindness such as daily phone calls to and from work, cooking her favorite meals for the family, and beating you in dominoes/cards every time will be greatly missed by all. Having no shortage of grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was especially close to Sebastian Nicolas, Angela Karime, Lucio Jr., and Fernanda Danae.
Blanca is survived by her sons Clemente Rodriguez Jr., Lucio Rodriguez, and Clemente Rodriguez III; her grandchildren Sebastian Nicolas Rodriguez, Angela Karime Rodriguez, Lucio Rodriguez Jr., Fernanda Danae Rodriguez, Fernanda Rodriguez, Blanca & Esperanza Rodriguez, Kiwi & Sheree Rodriguez, and Isabella Rodriguez.
