Alicia was fun, loving and caring person who loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She enoyed weekend family bbq's, watching the Dallas Cowboys play football and playing card games and loteria. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and always gave of herself unselfishly. She leaves behind a family and a countless number of dear friends that will always remember her for the loving person she was. Alicia was preceded in death by her husband Jaime A. Cortez (†); father Ruben R. Bella (†).
Alicia is survived by her mother Trinidad S. Bella; son Ruben (Lily) Cortez; and daughter Dalia M. (Juan Jr.) Muñoz; brother Juan Ruben (Letty), brother Raul (Yolanda), sister Diana (George) and sister Zenaida (Samuel); grandson Ruben Jr. (Diana), granddaughter Selena (Marcos), granddaughter Samantha, grandson Alexis, granddaughter Sabrina, grandson Jaime, grandson Juan lll, granddaughter Alice, great grandson Marcitos and great grandson Misael and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
A visitation for Alicia will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1055 Military Road, Brownsville, TX. A burial will occur Friday, September 18, 2020 at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Raul Bella , Juan Muñoz Jr., Juan Lozano Jr., Ruben Cortez Jr., Raul Bella Jr., Marcos Salazar , Jaime Cortez, Juan Muñoz lll, serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Selena R. Salazar, Samantha Muñoz, Alexis L. Cortez and Sabrina L. Muñoz.
