Alfredo was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1956-1963. He was a longtime employee of BPUB-Power Plant as a lead mechanic and the city of Brownsville as a welder. He would've celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary on October 10, 2023. Felo was a master metal craftsman, designing and welding many beautiful metal window-door guards, metal artwork and furniture. He was an avid gardener and handyman who was willing to help anyone in need. He loved the color blue and was a collector of any and everything blue. Always surrounded by laughter, Felo was known for his wit, humor, and his strong love and dedication to his catholic faith. He prayed his Holy Rosary daily. Most importantly he was a dedicated husband, father and beloved "Dado" to his grandsons. He brought daily love, joy, and stability to his family. He was genuine, loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Alfredo is survived by his wife, Enedina Cantu; his son Alfredo Guadalupe Cantu (San Juanita); and his daughter Dolia Campos; his brother Eugenio Cantu and his brother Guadalupe Cantu; his grandson Jacob Alan Campos and his grandson Christian Daniel Campos.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his father Eugenio Cantu † and his mother Rosa De Los Santos Cantu †; his sister Rosa Turner †; his brother Enrique Cantu †; his brother Federico Cantu †; his sister Margarita Leal † and his sister Aurora Nuñez.
