“He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather,uncle and friend. He worked at Bens and La India Bakery being a baker by trade all his life. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.”

He was preceded in death by his parents Carlos Martinez and Gabina Ruiz.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carmen Martinez; sister, Guadalupe Martinez; daughters, Connie Haskell (Roy), Sylvia Leddy (Scott); sons, Mario A. Martinez (Corie), Arturo Martinez (Adriana) and Juan Martinez (Trinidad); 12 grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 9pm on Friday, May 6, 2011 with a holy rosary at 7 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Good Shephard Catholic Church.

Entombment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.

Serving as pallbeares will be Mario Martinez, Arturo Martinez, Juan Martinez, Vidal Guerrero, Christopher Martinez and Andrew Torrez.

Honorary pallbearer will be, Garrett J. Martinez
