Agapita was born in Bishop, Texas in 1938. Early in life she worked as a food factory worker in Hollister, California where she met her first husband Lino Navarro and got married in 1961. They raised 3 children together. Agapita then remarried Cruz Camacho in 1982 and they relocated to Agapita's family hometown of Brownsville, Texas where they raised another child together. She loved spending time with her siblings and enjoyed inviting them for family get together.
Agapita is survived by her husband, Cruz Camacho; her son Arnulfo Navarro; her daughter Irma Navarro; her daughter Elsa Custer; and her daughter Veronica Camacho; her brother Abel De Leon and her brother Hilario De Leon.
Agapita was preceded in death by her father Fulgencio De Leon † and her mother Agapita De Leon †; her sister Belia Uribe †; her brother Fulgencio De Leon †; her brother Regino De Leon †; her brother Arnulfo De Leon †; her sister Noelia De Leon † and her brother Humberto De Leon †.
A visitation for Agapita will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00PM to 12:00AM with a Rosary at 7:00PM in Chapel of Peace at Funeraria del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. A mass will occur Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Christ The King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Rd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Followed by a burial at 3:00PM at Buena Vista Burial Park, 5 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521.
Serving as pallbearers are Cruz Camacho, Arnulfo Navarro, Saul Collazo, Saul Collazo Jr., Hilario De Leon, Armando Uribe, Ricardo De leon and Phillip Custer.
