A very long time has passed since I last saw Tim. About forty years ago we were both cadets at the RCE corps in Westmount. 

But there are some people that you never forget, whatever the gap in time, and Tim was one of them. I can still picture him in his uniform, smiling, and communicating a kindness that didn't require any effort. He was the one guy you could count on to help someone, anyone, that was struggling.

I'm very sad that he is no longer with us. Love to his family.

As one the hundreds if not thousands of young men whose life Tim touched and guided as a young cadet I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing.  Chimo!

Tim was an enthusiastic contributor to our former “6th Brigade”  group of Montreal -area regimental cadet corps. He was a kind, gentle man who was always upbeat.  May you Rest in Peace, Tim.

We are so sorry for your incredible loss. Losing a most beloved son, brother, father, brother-in-law and uncle like Tim is heartbreaking, and our hearts go out to each of you. 

I have had the great pleasure of knowing Tim for 36 years.  We first met during Cadet Instructor Cadre training in Ipperwash, Ontario even before his brother met and married my sister. Upon meeting him, everyone noticed his warm smile, genuine personality and self-confidence. We saw each other often at John and Lise’s house where, on a regular basis, we had passionate discussions about the military in general. I will always remember his pride of having served as an officer with the Army Cadet Program he loved so much and his passion for anything military. His dedication and devotion have most certainly benefitted the youth at CC2675, 3rd Field Engineer Regiment and have helped them reach their full potential.

Tim has left us way too soon and he will be sorely missed by everyone who had the chance to know him. 

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in the love and support from all your family members and friends and know that he is now at peace. If there is anything we can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Although I only got the pleasure to meet Tim once, I could tell that his presence brought a lot of joy to the Athanasiades family. He we will be missed deeply, but remember he will always be with you in spirit.

To the entire Atanasiadis Family, please accept my most sincere condolences on the recent passing of Tim. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Tim was a childhood friend and I credit him with introducing me to the Canadian Forces through 3rd Field Engineer Regiment Cadet Corps 2675 at the Hillside Armoury in Westmount. Tim recruited me into the Cadet Corps when I was 13 and I went on to serve with him for four years before starting my own 28-year career in the Canadian Army. I have many fond memories of learning basic military drill from Tim, of weekend cadet training exercises with him at Farnham, and of Saturday morning target practice sessions on the indoor range at Hillside Armoury. Tim was very passionate about the Army Cadet program and I have a deep respect for his knowledge and dedication to Cadet Corps 2675. 

Tim was also an honorary member of our family and spent a lot of time hanging out with my brothers and I at our home in Brossard. My mom and dad would always try to include him in anything we were up to and Tim would often feed my dad’s interest in ethnic cuisine by bringing over Greek food that had been prepared by his mom. Even after I left home to join the Army, I would always make a point of connecting with him whenever I was back home on leave to catch up on what was new. In turn, he would pick my brain about whatever Army training I had been involved in. I regret having lost touch with Tim in recent years. He was a cherished friend who left us too soon, and we will miss him dearly.

I am  deeply sorry to read this, I have fond memories of Tim and all the years at cadets.  Sending the family my thoughts and prayers through these difficult times.

To the extended Atanasiadis family, I am very sorry for the loss of a most beloved son, brother and father.  I got to know Tim during a brief stint with the cadets and thereafter he became part of a circle of friends during my young adult years.   I will always remember Tim’s humour, big smile and his even bigger heart.  He was a great listener and showed brotherly kindness when I needed it.   I remember on one occasion, I was the last person he dropped off after a long late night out.   He was exhausted and still had a long way to drive home but instead he sat on the steps of my house until 5am to listen to me go on about a recent breakup.  Thank you Tim for lending me that shoulder to cry on.  May you now find eternal light and peace.

I was so saddened to hear of Tim's passing. He was a great friend to our family for many years. My deepest sympathies to Vera, John, Joyce and all Tim's family.

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to someone who I had the privilege of knowing since childhood. As the youngest of the Godefroy brothers, Tim always seemed larger than life to me - I think I was only 9 or 10 years old when I first met him. I strongly remember that he was a tremendous friend to Jim, and a great friend to us all over the years. Always present, always heard, always smiling, and always kind and polite to a fault when it came to our family, he looked after me on more than one occasion when I needed someone looking out for me. We served together for many years at the Hillside Armouries at Cadet Corps 2675 and his dedication, conviction, integrity, and respect for military service was a credit to us all. I was deeply saddened to learn that he left us too soon, and needless to say he will be sorely missed. Please accept my deepest condolences during what must be a terribly difficult time. Let us hope he is at peace, having done his duty amongst us in this life.

My condolences to the extended Atanasiadis family and friends on Tim’s passing. 
I had the joy of working shoulder to shoulder with Tim for many decades in our shared passion for all things army cadet! Tim's 23 years of service with the Cadet Instructor Cadre exemplified dedication, honor, and leadership, guided by the cadre motto "illuminate viam" - illuminate the way, guiding countless young people towards excellence, citizenship, and leadership.
I remember fondly Tim's days as a cadet with the 3rd Field Engineer Regiment Cadet Corps 2675 in Westmount, Quebec, where his passion for military engineering first took flight. With every step to the rhythm of the Engineer Regimental March, "Wings," he embodied the spirit of service and camaraderie and dedication and loyalty.
Throughout his career with the Cadet Instructor Cadre, Tim led with unwavering conviction, always striving for excellence in every endeavor. His impeccable uniform on parade and his expertise on the firing range reflected his focus on getting everything exactly right.
As a military engineer cadet, Tim embraced the motto "Ubique" - everywhere, demonstrating his readiness to serve in any capacity, at any time. The familiar greeting of "Chimo" among his fellow cadets symbolized the bond of brotherhood and solidarity he cherished.
I will miss Tim's presence but I will always remember our time together. His kindness, wisdom, and leadership touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. May his legacy continue to inspire and illuminate the path for generations to come.

So, so sorry for your loss. My family and I are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear friend Tim.  Please accept our heart felt condolences. Tim was an amazing friend; my best friend. My dear old friends, John and Zoe- I have such fond memories of the old neighbourhood back in Brossard. In no small part those included getting my direction from "Captain Tim", as he schemed and directed his underling (that would be me) in order to deliver defeat to our arch rivals (that would be you, John, along with Billy Tsats) in afternoon long games of "capture the flag" or hide and seek.  I haven't seen him in years, but those memories live strong.  My deepest condolences to you, your mom, and Stephania/ Despina, whom I've yet had the pleasure to meet. I hope to see you soon.

So very sorry to hear of Tim's passing.  May he rest in peace.

I have worked with Tim for many years, and he was always very passionate and proud of his work. He always spoke so proudly about his daughters who you could tell where the center of his world. My deepest condolences to his family, he will be greatly missed.

I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Tim for a long time. He loved the fact that not only could I pronounce his last name but I could also spell it, he would periodically ask me to spell it out of the blue to make sure I'd not forgotten how. We became good friends outside of work and would join us for the occasional dinner get togethers. He loved his family to the ends of the earth and kept me up to date every time we talked. He was a kind and respected man who will be missed.

I have known Tim for 17 years and worked with him for 14 years. My deepest condolences to his daughters and his family. I will miss you my friend 🧡
