Ted was born on May the 1st, 1928 in Lixouri, Kefalonia, Greece. At age 21 he met the love of his life, Sotiria Kotsis from Laka Souliou, Akladea, Greece while serving in the Greek army.
Immigrating to Canada they were wed the 26th of February 1955 in Montreal.
Family was always top priority for Ted and his life was comprised of operating their family restaurant businesses. This was always with great success and Ted was respected by all. The greatest moments treasured that he spent was with his children, grand-children and great grand-children.
Ted loved to play chess and was a masterful player who loved to challenge and be challenged. His greatest attributes were his charm and his wit, a true gentleman who showed only love and kindness to all.
Beloved husband of Sotiria Delaportas, cherished father of George, Peter and Anna, devoted grandfather of Tiria, Melanie, Theodore, Christina, Sarah, Tyler, Brandon, Bridget, Terry and Stephanie.
He will also be deeply missed by his great- grandchildren Max, Jordan, Noah-Theodore, Abigail, Kennedy, and Holden -Theodore and all relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday May 15, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Thursday May 16th , 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at La Maison Darche, Dignity Memorial, located at 7679, Taschereau blvd. in Brossard (J4Y 1A2).
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at St.John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church (5220, Grande Allée, St-Hubert, Québec, J3Y 1A1).
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all at the CHSLD Champlain in Brossard for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Parkinson’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
