It is with great sadness and heavy heart that the family announces the passing of Leslie Kustowski, loving and devoted husband of Ibolya (née Szomolay).
He will be dearly missed by his daughters Marika (husband Tom and sons James and Ryan), and Eva (husband Claude and sons Philip and Alexandre).
Leslie was born in Budapest, Hungary, and immigrated to Canada with his young family in 1965. With dedication, talent, and resourcefulness, he launched a business in machining and plastics molding. He had a lifelong interest in current events, sports, nature, and science. He enjoyed music, games, and travel. He possessed a genuine and warm smile, was sensitive and thoughtful, caring and helpful, generous and appreciative. He was immensely proud of his children and grandchildren, and proud to be a Canadian.
Though he worked courageously to improve his health, he succumbed to complications due to cancer and heart disease at age 85, at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Leslie was a family man who will forever be remembered for his devotion and unconditional love for his family, for which we feel ever grateful and blessed.
A private funeral service was held on December 19th at Good Shepherd Parish in Brossard, following cremation.
Special thanks to Father John at Good Shepherd Parish for his kindness and support and the doctors at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their unwavering care. If desired, a donation may be made to Good Shepherd Parish or to Cedars Cancer Foundation at the Royal Victoria Hospital:
