I realized on rereading my condolence message that I neglected to single out Uncle Jean from that powerful unit in my mind : Mr. and Mrs.  J. Mayrand. So I want to say that Uncle Jean was an unfailingly kind and genuinely good man.  He will be sorely missed.

My father-in-law Jean was truly a giant of a man. There was nothing more dear to him than his wife Theresa and their family.  They loved and adored him to the very end.  He made me feel like a member of his family from the moment he met me. I will truly miss him.
May God be with him.

I remember uncle Jean as being tall and handsome, quiet and unflappable, gentle and loving.

I know he has suffered in recent years yet when I saw him a few years ago he still had that beautiful smile on his face.
