William F. Jacobs

JACOBS, William F., age 85 of Brooksville, Florida died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at HPH Hospice Care Center.  Born in Meriden, Connecticut, he came here 21 year ago from Hiawassee, Georgia.  He was a retired Millwright, Past Commander of the V.F.W. and member of the Marine Corps League in Hiawassee, Georgia and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Chosen Few.  Mr. Jacobs was of the Presbyterian faith.  Survivors include his wife: Sandra; daughters: Deborah Evans of Riverview, Florida, Denise Culpepper of Durant, Florida, Colette Hoffman of Hiawassee, Georgia and Linda Conway of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Jacobs, Jr. and sister, Carol Harrington. Visitation for friends will be 1 – 3pm, Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel.  Funeral service will be 10:00am, Monday, October 24, 2016 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HPH Hospice.
