William M. Donaldson

DONALDSON, William M., age 85 of Hudson passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in Spring Hill. Born in New York City, NY he came to this area 35 years ago from Bethpage, NY. He retired from the New York City Police Department in 1978, was a US Army Korean Conflict Veteran in 1952 and became president, and later owner of a Gift Fruit Company. Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Martha; son: Matthew Donaldson of Trinity, FL; daughters: Meg Donaldson of Spring Hill & Lori Staneszewski of New Port Richey; brother: George Donaldson of Orlando; sister: Theresa Olansen of Bayonet Point and 9 grandchildren. Visitation for friends will be from 4-7pm Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel. A funeral mass will be conducted  10am Friday, January 17, 2014 at Most Holy Trinity Church, 1000 Spring Lake Hwy., Brooksville. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
