Tommy R. Smith

SMITH, Tommy R., 76 of Brooksville, FL slipped into the arms of Jesus on Aug.1, under the care of hospice and family. He was a 5th generation Smith, son of Cicero and Nancy Smith (deceased) of Lake Lindsey, a graduate of Hernando High and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He worked at American Can Co., owned Cook Supply Co., Key Real Estate and Touch of Beauty salon. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Jr., sister, Polly Presley. Survived by wife of 56 years: Anna; children, Cindy Murdock (David), Steve (Bette) Smith and Gary Smith; grandchildren, Erica (Nick) Dunville; John David (Charlotte) Price and John Thomas (Erica) Price; great-grandchildren, Reagan and Stella; siblings, Ervin (Jackie) Smith; Janice Hart, Louise (Bob) Emm. Many thanks to Diana Dellahoy of Interim Health Care and HPH Hospice. He was a devoted Christian and was dearly loved by those who knew him; he will be sorely missed. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Wed., Aug. 3, 2011 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville. Viewing will be 10:00am - 11:00am, with services beginning at 11:00am, Thurs., Aug. 4, 2011 at Eden Baptist Church. Interment at Lake Lindsey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make donations to HPH Hospice, Brooksville.
