Susan B. Silvestri

She was born July 21, 1955 in Ridgewood, New York.  Formerly of Spring Hill, Florida from 2000-2016, she came to Port St. Lucie two years ago from Homestead, Florida.  She was a member of Forest Oaks Lutheran Church, a bank officer for over 17 years with Chase Manhattan Bank, and loved substitute teaching and working in daycare. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Bengel and Florence Rothamel Bengel and brother, Henry Bengel.  She is survived by her  husband of 35 years, Joseph B. Silvestri of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph A. & Victoria Silvestri of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Lois Ponzo of St. Cloud, Florida, Cathy Scala of Glendale, New York, and Dorothy Bengel of Lake Nona, Florida; grandchild, Gavin J. Silvestri.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00-2:00pm, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville Chapel, where Funeral Services begin at 2:00pm, with Pastor Paul Meseke officiating.
